Nora is passionate about the sustainability, preservation, and open access of digital resources. As Digital Archivist & Repository Librarian, she manages Lafayette College’s institutional and digital collections repository, the LDR, which is a custom Samvera Hyrax application.  She liaises with the international Samvera Community and advocates for the perspective of the liberal arts college within the context of open source software and repository development.  In addition to her role managing repository, Nora works with the other members of the Digital Scholarship Services team on faculty collaborations and on digitization initiatives in the Library and Archives.  She consulted on digital asset management and audiovisual object creation for the Lehigh Valley Engaged Humanities Consortium, a grant initiative funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, on which DSS formally partners.  Her research interests include experimental media and sound studies.

Nora is available to consult on:

  •      Digital preservation and data handling best practices
  •      Data literacy for research and scholarly projects
  •      Audiovisual and computer media preservation and reformatting
  •      Research assistance for Film & Media Studies and Art History
